1.0   Introduction

i) Volume Of Liquid

            Volume is a measurement of space taken by a material or object. Only in case of solids, the amount of space that is occupied by them is decided by their own shapes. Volume of liquid refers to the capacity of liquids in the containers. The capacity for the volume can be measured by using standard units (ml, l) and non-standard units (more, less) in metric system. Explanation of capacity involves manipulation of containers of various sizes.



ii) Teaching Aids
 
            Teaching aids are the tools that used by the teachers in the classroom to help the pupils to understand better. It is used to enhance learning skills in a systematic manner and retaining them in the mind of learners for longer time duration. It can be anything that a teacher uses to assist in teaching and learning activities. The teaching aids are important in learning sessions in the classroom. This is because it can attract the pupils to learn the subject very well

The pupils have misconception on capacity. This is my be from their prior knowledge from their everyday lives. As a teacher we have to need to break these misconceptions. Teach the pupils were they are mistaken will not work either. The most effective way of break the misconception is by use different types of teaching aids that really suits and will help the pupils to understand better the idea of capacity.
